At Archangels Michael and Gabriel Coptic Relief Organization, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and feel valued.Through our Special Needs Programs, we provide individualized education, developmental support, therapy, and spiritual care for children with physical, developmental, and learning challenges in underserved communities across Egypt.Our mission is to create safe and nurturing environments where children can build confidence, develop essential skills, and experience love, dignity, and acceptance.
Our Programs Across Egypt
Aswan – Archangel Michael Special Needs School
Currently serving 20 students, this school provides sessions in language, mathematics, life skills, motor skills, and speech therapy. Individual speech therapy programs were recently introduced for children requiring more specialized support.The school also expanded to welcome students aged 16 and older with age-appropriate educational activities. New woodworking and weaving workshops were launched to strengthen fine motor skills and encourage creativity.
East Minya – Archangels & Anna Simone School
Home to 44 students, this growing center continues expanding its educational services and facilities. Weekly specialist training programs help improve the quality of care and support provided to students.
Recent improvements include the installation of an elevator for accessibility and the addition of new classrooms to create more learning opportunities. Recreational field trips are also organized throughout the year to provide children with joyful and enriching experiences.
Shubra – The Archangel Special Needs Home
This full-time residential home currently supports 25 children with special needs. A recently expanded facility allowed the home to welcome additional children while continuing to improve care services.
The home now includes a dedicated physical therapy room with licensed therapy sessions several times per week, as well as an on-site church where weekly liturgies are celebrated for the children.
Ezbet El Nassara – Archangel Michael and Gabriel Special Needs School
Serving 10 children, this center recently introduced Saturday classes to support growing community needs. New hands-on workshops were also created to improve fine motor skills and encourage independence and confidence in students.
Looking Ahead
As the need continues to grow, plans are underway to open a new special needs school in Beni Suef, expanding our ability to provide education, support, and opportunities for more children and families in need.
